As part of FAFSA Simplification Act, McKinney-Vento liaisons can designate other people to provide unaccompanied homeless youth with determinations for the FAFSA. This reduces the workload for liaisons and allows individuals working closely with students to provide determinations. This webinar will share guidance and best practices on how to designate and ensure that liaisons and designees have systems set in place so that all unaccompanied homeless youth are identified and receive FAFSA determinations and additional support. SHC staff will provide tools and resources to help liaisons establish processes.
