Salary: $75,000 – $85,000

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, FAFSA Completion to remove barriers to financial aid and increase college success for youth experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
- Training: Lead virtual and in-person training for financial aid administrators (FAAs), school district and school staff, college access programs and homeless service providers.
- Resource Development: Create and maintain high-quality materials such as toolkits, tip sheets, and data analyses.
- Support: Respond to questions from FAAs, school district homeless liaisons and counselors, and other partners, as well as individual student requests for help.
- Partnership Building: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with educational institutions, service providers, and advocacy organizations.
- Strategy & Advocacy: Gather and share effective strategies to boost FAFSA completion rates for homeless and foster youth, and contribute to policy advocacy.
- Policy Analysis: Stay informed on FAFSA-related policies and their implications, providing expert guidance to practitioners.
- Collaboration: Work with SHC teams to address FAFSA-related challenges and influence policy advocacy efforts.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in financial aid or a related role, with deep expertise in FAFSA processes for homeless and foster youth.
- Skills: Proven ability to deliver engaging training and develop clear, impactful written materials.
- Competencies: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
- Ethical Standards: Commitment to the highest ethical standards and trauma-informed practices.
