Jordyn Roark has dedicated her career to ensuring that young people experiencing homelessness can access higher education, graduate, and build stable futures. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and draws on both professional expertise and her own lived experience as an unaccompanied homeless youth to break down barriers to education.
A nationally recognized speaker, Jordyn provides training and engagement opportunities for young people, educators, and organizations on strategies to support students experiencing homelessness. Her background includes direct service roles in emergency shelters, disaster rehousing, and youth programs across North Carolina and Virginia.
As Director of Youth Leadership and Scholarships at SchoolHouse Connection, Jordyn leads the national scholarship program, empowering young people with lived experience to shape policy, pursue higher education, and build pathways to self-sufficiency.
