SchoolHouse Connection, a fast-paced, results-oriented national nonprofit organization working to overcome homelessness through education, is seeking three individuals to join the team!

  1. Director of K12 Practical Assistance
  2. Early Childhood Senior Program Manager
  3. Senior Manager/Director, Federal Policy

SHC is the nation’s leading expert on the early care and education of children and youth experiencing homelessness. We provide strategic advocacy and practical assistance in partnership with early childhood programs, schools, institutions of higher education, service providers, families, and youth. We have ushered to enactment many critical federal and state policies and programs for children and youth experiencing homelessness, and we provide extensive practical assistance to ensure that these policies lead to real outcomes. 

Director of K12 Practical Assistance

 The Director of K12 Practical Assistance will help develop and implement SHC’s K12 practical assistance and professional development strategies to help state and local educational agencies identify, enroll, and support the success of children, youth, and families experiencing homelessness.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: $90,000 – $110,000

Early Childhood Senior Program Manager 

The Early Childhood Senior Program Manager will lead practical assistance to equip early childhood and homeless service providers with the knowledge, skills and tools to increase identification, program enrollment and support of infants and toddlers experiencing homelessness and their families, including through robust implementation of state and federal policy. This position is an opportunity to remove barriers to high-quality early childhood services, increase trauma-informed, two-generational services, and leverage practical assistance opportunities to inform state and national policy advocacy.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000 – $85,000

Senior Manager/Director, Federal Policy 

The Senior Manager/Director will play a key role in advancing SHC’s federal policy agenda. They will report to the Executive Director and be an integral part of a dynamic policy team. This role calls for experience with the U.S. Congress, federal regulatory agencies, and grassroots advocacy.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience. If the candidate is at Senior Manager level, salary range is $75,000-$90,000. If the candidate is at Director level, the salary range is $90,000-$110,000.
